Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions cover all Sky Travel booking platforms Facebook, Whatsapp, txts and telephone bookings and represent the entire agreement concerning the provision of Taxi service between you and Sky Travel. Completeing of the booking and use of our service indicates your acceptance of the terms and conditions set out in this Agreement.
1. We may change these terms and conditions at any time. Bookings will be kept at the rate booked in.
2. We request a minimum of 24 hours notice for any bookings subject to our availability. (If less than 24hrs a fee will be charged of £20 for a car and £50 for a bus)
3. You must allow sufficient time when booking your taxi to allow for the check-in times required by your airline and for any delays caused by traffic conditions. We shall not be responsible for any delay caused by your failure to allow enough time to reach your destination or if the passengers are not ready for collection at the booked time.
4. On booking you must order a suitable car size for the number of passengers and luggage. Our company cannot guarantee to carry excessive amounts of luggage. We will not be held responsible if not specified on booking and it wont fit once driver arrives.
5. You must supply all information required at the time of booking.
6. If there are any changes or variations including extra mileage extra waiting time or deviations to the journey other than what was agreed at the time of booking, the client will be charged extras in accordance with our pricing structure.
7. Incoming flights, we will allow 120 minutes free waiting time from flight landing, after which waiting charges will apply. (£10 per hour thereafter)
8. For airport pick up please make contact with your driver, our driver will wait up to 120 minutes. If NO CONTACT made our drivers will wait 60 mins and If after 60 minutes driver still has not made contact with passenger, this will result as a no show & no refund will be offered.
9. If you need to cancel your booking, please contact Sky Travel as soon as possible. We will be happy to cancel & refund a booking as long as we have 24 hours notice. If you cancel a booking after the vehicle has been dispatched then a charge will be incurred; the charge will be based on the distance and time that the allocated driver has travelled or spent prior to the point of cancellation. (If less than 24hrs a fee will be charged of £20 for a car and £50 for a bus, if booking is paid for this will be deducted from any monies owed back to you)
10. We take complaints very seriously and investigate every complaint thoroughly. Please email, message or call us quoting your name and address and as much information as possible.
11. At times our company may use other companies to cover a journey.
12. You shall be responsible for the behaviour of all the passengers in the car during the journey. You will be charged to cover cleaning costs in the unlikely event of the vehicle being soiled by any passenger. (Soiling Charge of £30 will apply) A full receipt can be sent directly to you.
13. We have the right to refuse to carry any passenger who is thought to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
14. We will refuse or terminate any booking with immediate effect if your behaviour puts any driver or vehicle at risk of damage, violence or abuse by you or any passenger in your party. All passengers will be asked to vacate the vehicle as soon as it is safe to do so. No refund will be given in this instance.
15. Our company will track all incoming flights, to ensure our driver reaches you at your specified time. If your flight is delayed you may need to wait slightly depending on other jobs booked in. (In the unlikely event for some reason we cannot provide cover due to a delay/cancellation on your flight, only a credit note will issued to be used on a future booking, as this is not our companies fault)
16. Whilst we do our utmost to ensure our drivers are punctual and arrive on time, you MUST understand that we cannot accept responsibility for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control.
17. We shall do our utmost to get you to your destination on time, but shall not be liable for any loss due to delays caused by road or traffic conditions beyond our control on the journey.
18. Please note that a child, no matter what age, counts as one passenger.
REGARDING CHILD SEAT.
A child in a taxi does not need to be in a child seat by law.
If you do decide to bring please inform us you are doing so before date of pick up.
We DO NOT supply child seats, if you have your own child seat you are most welcome to use it. Please note that the installation of the child seat must be carried out by you. Sky Travel will store your child seat(s) for your return. (No Charge)
19. If the driver is stuck in traffic or for any other reasons cannot reach you on time at the point of collection, you may need to wait or we will try to provide you with a car from one of our partners companies.
20. In the event that our driver does not show up at the scheduled time for collection, please contact our office.
If you leave the pickup point without informing us, we will not be liable for any compensation to you. If you take a minicab or a black cab from another company without our consent, we will not be liable to pay you the price for it or refund you.
21. We reserve the right to change without notice, your car or minibus at any time if necessary. Our company maintains a strict non-smoking policy in all its vehicles.
22. All our vehicles are fully insured for all passengers and claims due to an accident. However, customer’s properties are carried entirely at their own risk.
23. Customers are responsible for ensuring that their luggage is loaded/unloaded at all times. Our company or our sub contractors shall not be held responsible for loss/damage to your property.
24. If the vehicle breaks down during your journey, our company will do our best to arrange an alternative vehicle to complete the journey as soon as possible.
25. Our company shall be entitled to cancel all services and provide refunds in the event of a declared national emergency, riot, war, fuel shortage, extreme weather or terrorist attack, or other circumstances beyond its control.
26. It is illegal to make a private booking with our drivers. Our company will not be held liable for any situation the passenger encounters while travelling on a booking not confirmed with by SKY TRAVEL.
